Drum Magnet Separator (DMS)
Drum Magnet Separators separate finer magnetisable parts from a material stream. They are available in working widths from 400 to 2000 mm, and a range of magnetic field strengths.
Magnetisable materials can be separated out at different points within a recycling process. The best ferritic material sorting results are achieved in combination with optimised material feed and distribution to the magnetic separators.
Combining different magnetic separators enables pure iron fractions, mixed copper-iron fractions and even stainless steel fractions to be separated from a variety of material flows. Many customers use the experience and expertise of UMS in the design of new plants, but also in the optimisation and modification of existing plants with regard to selection and positioning. The integration of existing magnets in optimised processes is usually unproblematic.
Overbelt Magnet Separator (OMS)
Overbelt Magnet Separators extract coarser magnetisable components from a material flow, and can be used at different points within the recycling process. UMS uses tried-and-tested overbelt magnets from European manufacturers, and selects the ideal unit for the respective application.
When implementing CORE systems, UMS uses a combination of overbelt and over-drum magnetic separators, depending on the material and the objective. The best sorting results for separating ferritic material require optimised material input and distribution to the magnetic separators. Pure iron fractions, mixed copper-iron fractions and even stainless steel fractions can be separated if combined with the right magnets.
Many customers use the experience and expertise of UMS in the design of new plants and the optimisation and modification of existing plants. The integration of existing magnets is a matter of course for UMS.
